Bridget over troubled Waters is a charming G rated comic strip starring a smart, adorable and feisty little girl named Bridget, her scatterbrained mother Debbie and a cast of other vivid and amusing characters.
noodle cheesy peas is possibly Bridget's favorite pasta dish. It's actually Aunt Sara's recipe and it is fairly simple. Debbie has never managed to master it, but then she is not much of a cook. (She is very defensive about this. Whatever you do don't mention the "Fondue indecent")
Anyway, the recipe...
It begins with almost any type of pasta except risotto or lasagna noodles. Cook as per instructions on package and while still steaming hot add a generous helping of frozen peas, mix together, cover and set aside.
Then take 1 minced shallot and cook in butter until soft but not crunchy.
Add 1 cup diced or shredded sharp cheddar and a splash of milk to the pan.
Simmer this on low heat stirring every few minutes until everything has melted into a sauce.
Pour sauce over the noodles and peas and eat.
Now if you'll forgive me but I've really got to get back to my book
love it!
